We regret to announce that Deric Alkurabi, our Director of IT Operations and Cybersecurity, was recently offered a wonderful opportunity with Deloitte and will be leaving us soon. Many of you know him for his presence on the Hill. Deric started with us 12 years ago when he was still a college student, and he has become one of our top customer facing professionals. We think he brings an energy and enthusiasm to his job that will be hard to replace. We appreciate everything he has done for ComputerWorks in his years here, and we wish him continued success in his career. We will miss him.
We want to assure our customers that we have a plan in place and there will be no disruption of service. Our other Derek will be covering Deric’s customer accounts and we are actively looking for another professional to round out our team.
Starting as a System Administrator in the United States Senate, Derek Mattioli first used intertrac in the Office of Senator Bill Nelson, followed by the Office of Senator Ken Salazar. He joined the ComputerWorks Team in 2007 and, as Director of Congressional Operations, has provided intertrac support on the Senate side of our operations for the past 13 years. As a matter of fact, he helped Deric get up to speed when he first moved to Washington to support the House. We believe our customers in the House will be very happy with Derek on the Support Team. (And you won’t even have to learn a new name.)
At ComputerWorks, we pride ourselves on our superior customer support. We may miss Deric, but we will continue to provide you with the service you have come to expect. As we work through this transition, please direct your calls to the main line (800-692-7787). Our support team will be able to answer any questions you may have.
